Danny joined Titanium
Environmental Services in 2005. As Natural Resources Specialist,
Danny handles a wide variety of projects. Danny oversees performance
of wetlands assessments, ecological risk assessments, environmental
sampling, and management of geographic information systems (GIS)
data. He prepares permit applications for wetland activities and
water rights acquisition for the oil and gas industry. Danny has
helped secure acquisition of numerous Clean Water Act Section 404
and Section 10 permits. He is also engaged in the preparation of
Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWP3) for construction and
industrial sites, as well as Spill Prevention, Control, and
Countermeasures (SPCC) plans for industrial and oil and gas sites.
He is experienced in management and disposal of oil and gas waste.
Danny’s permitting and compliance experience has lead to
collaboration with a number of federal and state agencies, including
the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Forest Service, the
Department of Defense, the Bureau of Land Management, the Texas
Commission on Environmental Quality, and the Louisiana Department of
Environmental Quality. He is skilled in identifying clients’
potential compliance issues and developing alternatives with lower
environmental impact and less regulatory burden. Danny believes that
identifying alternatives early, often before agency consultation,
allows projects to achieve faster and more cost-effective regulatory
approval.
Danny received his Ph.D. in Forestry from Stephen F. Austin State
University in 2006. He completed graduate course work at Stephen F.
Austin State University and Auburn University, including air
quality, wetland delineation and functional assessment, soils,
aerial photograph interpretation, and remote sensing. Danny’s
professional training includes 24-hour Hazardous Waste Operations
and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER), wetland delineation, and BREEZE
AERMOD atmospheric dispersion modeling software. He has experience
with a variety of software programs, including ArcGIS, MARPLOT,
ALOHA; Rusle2, and AutoCAD.
Danny’s formal publications include the following: Johns, D., H.
