Laura Rectenwald

Owner/Principal

Laura Rectenwald is a licensed Professional Geoscientist in both Texas and Louisiana. Her areas of specialization include Texas Risk Reduction Program Assessments, industrial regulatory compliance audits, soil and groundwater remediation, and litigation support.


Laura earned her Master of Science degree in Environmental Science from Baylor University, where her thesis focused on the effectiveness of an ecological wastewater treatment system in reducing nutrients in wastewater. She then went on to obtain her Ph.D. in Forestry from the Arthur Temple College of Forestry at Stephen F. Austin State University (SFASU), researching the physiological and morphological responses of three tree species to the uptake of cadmium and trichloroethylene. She previously served as an adjunct faculty member at SFASU, where she taught a course on environmental risk assessment.


In addition, she holds a 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification and has received training in wetland delineation and surveys of naturally occurring radioactive material (NORM).


Laura has held various leadership roles, including serving on the SFASU Board of Regents, chairing the Business Advocacy Committee with the Longview Chamber of Commerce, participating in the Longview ISD Foundation, and serving on the vestry of Trinity Episcopal Church in Marshall.
