Laura
joined Mitch Wilson at Titanium Environmental Services, LLC (TES) at its inception in 2000. As Senior
Scientist for TES, Laura is involved in all aspects of environmental
consulting. Particular areas of expertise include Texas Risk
Reduction Program Assessments, industrial regulatory compliance
audits, soil and groundwater remediation projects and litigation
support.
Laura obtained a Master of Science degree in
Environmental Science from Baylor University in 1996. For her
Master's thesis, she studied the efficacy of an ecological
wastewater treatment system for nutrient reduction in wastewater.
She received her Ph.D. in Forestry from the Arthur Temple College of
Forestry at Stephen F. Austin State University (SFASU) in 2001 for
her study of the physiological and morphological responses of three
tree species to uptake of cadmium and trichloroethylene.
Laura is a licensed Professional Geoscientist in the State of
Texas. She also has received 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification and
training in wetlands delineation and naturally occurring radioactive
material (NORM) surveys.
Laura serves on the East Texas Council of Governments
Regional Brownfields Committee as well as the SFASU Environmental
Science Advisory Committee. She is an adjunct member of the
graduate faculty at SFASU.
